Faculty/Department Faculty of Arts Unit Arts-Gender, Religion and Critical Studies Department Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary We are seeking a research assistant who will support the development of WGST 200 (Feminisms: Feminist Theories and Knowledge), which will be an online class.

The person will assist with the development of the syllabus, research for individual classes, and compiling materials in the online framework. They will also liaise with the online course development team Position Requirements Qualifications and background: the person should be currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program with a feminist and trans theoretical and methodological basis. Preference for students enrolled in WGST with MA in WGST.

Preferred Skills: experience with (online) teaching; significant experience with feminist history and theory; extensive knowledge of trans and queer theory; general interest in social theory; teaching experience in WGST beneficial but not required; excellent research and communication skills Physical Demands Those of a desk job Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours 5-10 hours per week Course Modality Online Course Dates and Time for classes in Winter 2027 Duration (if Term/Temporary) January 1 - August 31, 2026 Full-Time/Part-Time Part Time Preference Posting No Preference Target Posting Not Targeted Additional Information
