We are seeking a diligent, detail driven and collaborative Safety Training Administrator to join our Health & Safety team, strengthening and elevating our management of internal systems, databases, and controls with respect to training, volunteers, and contractors. You are a meticulous and detailed collaborator, who enjoys coordinating, building, and maintaining programs, processes, and data, while striving for compliance and effective management of training and safety requirements. In this role, you will help ensure our systems are intuitive, reliable, and impactful while building efficient and streamlined approaches and practices, timely and accurate reporting, and the development of appropriate capabilities and training.
Responsibilities
This is a full-time, temporary (6 months) hourly position that reports to the Health & Safety Manager. and is located on-site. The successful candidate will need reliable transportation as the job is completely on-site.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and certification prior to commencing employment.

In this role, you will help ensure our systems are intuitive, reliable, and impactful while building efficient and streamlined approaches and practices, timely and accurate reporting, and the development of appropriate capabilities and training.
Responsibilities
- Lead, monitor, reconcile, and maintain our internal learning platform, ensuring accurate, up-to-date, and appropriate training records, certificates, and supporting documentation
- Identify, facilitate, and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate updates to employee files with relevant and timely information as received, requested, or obtained
- Create/generate, customize, enhance, and deliver clear, actionable reporting and analytics on courses and certifications detailing completion, expiry, and outstanding training(s)
- Liaise with managers and supervisors to ensure accurate compliance, completion, updates, and deliverables in alignment with Club and position-based qualifications, training, certifications, and pre-requisites
- Update and amend the training matrix for mandatory job training(s) by position in collaboration with Human Resources, ensuring an accurate and up to date reflection of the requirements on the front and back end
- Lead, support and conduct compliance-focused initiatives, education, and training sessions that strengthen safety culture and proactively mitigate organizational risk
- Support and collaborate with departments to create, amend, and improve the management of Volunteers & Contractors including documentation, onboarding, compliance, and contracts/renewals
- Completed (or currently enrolled in) post-secondary education within Health Safety Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources or related field
- Previous experience and proficiency with safety management systems, databases, and documentation management preferred
- Familiarity with managing, maintaining, and reporting with data management systems preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication (written/verbal), and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders
- Demonstrates sound judgement, discretion, attention to detail, and professionalism while managing sensitive, and confidential information
- Proven ability to balance multiple deadlines and diligently manage requirements to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across the organization
