Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the department’s production associates, as well as working as part of the department to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer.

Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the department’s production associates, as well as working as part of the department to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Ability to lead, motivate, guide and manage a team of up to 35 employees
- Ensure production is progressing on target while meeting quality expectations
- Ability to identify parts for employees utilizing material management systems
- Liaise with other teams internally such as engineering for clarification on designs from production employees
- Lead and coordinate continuous improvement activities
- Facilitate team meetings and discussions on resolving any production issues
- Ensures the health and safety of employees and provides input on safety related issues or potential hazards to the Health and Safety committee
- Monitors time and attendance of employees, providing counseling and performance management when required
- Tracks and reports inventory levels and participate in the purchasing of new equipment
- Leading a team who are producing products in a hands-on production and assembly environment without automation/machine assistance
- An individual who can work afternoon shift (10-hour shifts, 4:15pm to 2:15am Monday to Thursday) with optional overtime available
- 5+ years of management and/or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- A safety focused individual who will ensure the health and safety of employees and bring any safety concerns to the forefront
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Proven experience motivating and leading a group of employees on the production floor
- Experience with Material management systems such as AX or similar
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and any HR system for people/performance management would be an asset
- Ability to read blueprints is an asset
- A college diploma or Associate Degree in a related field is an asset
