Our Business Development and Marketing team is seeking a Proposal Coordinator in our Halifax NS office to support proposal development efforts across all CBCL’s business sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with technical experts, marketing professionals, and senior proposal leadership to help position CBCL for success in a competitive marketplace.

In this collaborative and fast-paced role, you will play a key part in shaping compelling, client-focused proposals that highlight CBCL’s expertise, capabilities, and value. Working alongside the Senior Proposal Coordinator, you’ll help deliver high-quality submissions that meet client requirements, align with our brand standards, and support our strategic growth objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and develop high-quality proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other procurement opportunities, ensuring alignment with client requirements and CBCL’s branding standards;
  • Support proposal planning by developing schedules, assigning tasks, and managing deadlines to ensure timely and complete submissions;
  • Collaborate with technical experts to gather, refine, and organize technical content, resumes, and project experience;
  • Contribute to proposal strategy discussions, including go/no-go decisions, win themes, and key differentiators;
  • Coordinate with creative resources to develop visuals, graphics, and layouts that enhance proposal quality and clarity;
  • Oversee final proposal assembly and submission, including electronic uploads and printed deliverables; and
  • Maintain proposal content libraries, track outcomes, and support continuous improvement of proposal tools, templates, and processes.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 2–5 years of experience coordinating proposals, preferably within engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services;
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and multidisciplinary teams;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with proposal AI tools or similar software is an asset; and
  • Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes and public procurement practices preferred.
