Your Opportunity:

As a member of the Medicine Program team, you will have an opportunity to participate in providing support and care to a diverse group of patients and families. This role is an integral part of our care team providing support, mentorship and education to patients, families and colleagues for complex General Medicine patients. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Description:

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

    Required Qualifications:

    One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. Completion of a course in medical terminology required. Unit Clerk diploma from a recognized educational program required. Word processing/typing speed 30 - 40 wpm required. Proficiency in spelling, grammar and punctuation required. Legible handwriting required. Interpersonal skills, i.e. verbal and telephone communication required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work as a team member. Attention to detail and accuracy required. Must maintain confidentiality in a strict manner. One (1) year recent experience in a patient care setting desired. Computer literacy an asset.
