Position Summary:
The Wound Care Associate Consultant will work in collaboration with the interprofessional team, our community partners, patients and their families to deliver wound and ostomy care.
Position Requirements:
- Participates in the ongoing growth of the specialized skin, wound and ostomy care program for patients and their families using evidence based clinical expertise
- Participates in advancing clinical practice to all clinical units through the provision of clinical expertise and education related to skin and wound care treatments for VAC dressings, stomas as well as chronic and acute wounds
- Collaboratively plans, implements, maintains and monitors appropriate databases for outcome management and identifies areas of improvement to promote ongoing quality assurance
- Advances knowledge and practice through research related activities. Such activities include selective hospital-wide product trials, quality management initiatives and program evaluation activities
