This full-time internship is designed to introduce students to the dynamic, client-focused environment of Wealth Management at Scotiabank, and provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to the business. This job posting covers multiple roles across various teams, allowing applicants to be considered for several positions within Wealth Management through a single application.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations.
• Provide customer service in accordance with Scotia Service Standards.
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Provides exceptional customer service support on account opening related queries by remaining current and informed on existing and new industry regulations and firm policies and procedures.
• Maintain client account integrity by performing sundry items as required.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
• Provide coverage and support for other members of the team when needed.
  
  

Requirements

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

• You are enrolled in post-secondary education.
• You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions.
• You are able to provide reliable and timely responses professionally to direct inquiries from advisors, trading desk, other broker/dealers, various operations and support departments and management.
• You have strong communication and organizational skills.
• You have thorough business analysis, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• You have strong written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with other Bank departments and external parties.
• You have excellent time management skills.
• You have thorough PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
