Your Opportunity: Forensic Assessment & Community Services (FACS) has an exciting opportunity for a diploma level Registered Social Worker. Reporting to the Care Manager of FACS, this position will act as a member of multidisciplinary teams that provide treatment services that are evidence and recovery based, aligned with best practice approaches, policy, legislation, and designated standards of practice within the context of an outpatient, forensic community mental health clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clients within the clinic with navigating social determinants of health, accessing resources, completing various applications, and supporting with transition of care when appropriate. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in order to provide input and participation in client treatment plans and progress. This position works closely and collaboratively with community stakeholders, supporting with case management planning and follow-up. This will include but is not limited to clients with developmental delays, acute mental health issues, and complex social needs. Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) Additional Required Qualifications: BLS required. NVCI or immediate registration into the next available course is required Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with electronic medical records (Connect Care), virtual therapy platforms (Zoom), and comfort with Microsoft Office programs will all be considered assets. NCI. Understanding of intimate partner violence, family systems, inappropriate sexual behaviours, and legal dispositions will all be considered an asset.
