Your responsibilities may also include providing treatment for adolescents and their families. Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, you will undertake individual and group psychotherapy processes. Additional responsibilities will also include working in partnership with and providing consultation to community agencies, and physicians in the continuum of mental health care. As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Training in crisis intervention, assessment and case management skills are essential, preferably in a community setting would be an asset. This position will require the successful candidate to possess the ability to ambulate, climb stairs and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Experience in the mental health field is essential. A knowledge of community integration skills, computer proficiencies, and well developed written and verbal skills is required. As this position shares responsibility for client caseload management, 5 years' experience providing community based mental health therapy is a requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in community setting preferred. Formal training/certification in therapy modalities is preferred.
