Job Statement

Our Human Resources team is seeking a dynamic professional to join us on a maternity leave contract covering two key roles: Human Resources & Recruitment Specialist and Human Resources & Payroll Specialist.

This unique position offers a broad scope of responsibilities, encompassing recruitment, payroll, and a variety of HR projects. You will lead full-cycle recruitment for all new hire mandates, actively source and build a pipeline of qualified candidates, and support the delivery of seamless payroll and HR operations.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong foundation in both recruitment and generalist HR functions. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment and be comfortable taking ownership as we continue to evolve our HR processes and support our growing team.

Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Managing full-cycle recruitment from A to Z. 
  • Writing job description in coordination with the hiring manager. 
  • Posting and maintaining up-to-date job opportunities on job boards, social medias, academic pages. 
  • Facilitating pre-screens and scheduling interviews.
  • Executing other recruitment-related tasks such as writing offers of employment, onboarding, background and reference checks, etc. 

 

Payroll

  • Processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll.
  • Managing day-to-day benefits administration by maintaining employee information and changing request forms.
  • Performing monthly group insurance reconciliation.
  • Performing yearly vacation roll-over activities.

 

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Updating and maintaining Human Resources Information System to keep track of employee information, reporting functions, time off management, etc. 
  • Writing corporate communications including policies, employee manual updates, organizational structure changes, new hire announcements, etc. 

 

Projects & Year-End Activities

  • Assisting in performing year-end activities.
  • Assisting in roll-out of yearly salary increases.
  • Leading and/or assisting with any other HR-related projects that may arise.


Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field. 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role. 
  • Strong understanding of Talent Acquisition and full cycle-recruitment. 
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources Information Systems and Payroll Softwares (Experience with ADP is a must)
  • Ability to foster a positive experience for all candidates with an unbiased and inclusive attitude. 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Autonomous.
