JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Electrical Engineering consists of 29 professors, 3 senior lecturers, 24 support staff, 682 undergraduate students in electrical engineering, 146 undergraduate students in biomedical engineering, and 189 graduate students. The faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering conducts leading-edge research in close collaboration with industry in areas such as biomedical engineering, medical imaging, automation and systems, energy and power grids, microelectronics, microwave systems, telecommunications systems and networks, and more. The selected candidate will conduct experimental research activities, which may include the modeling and demonstration of linear and nonlinear microwave devices and circuits, high-frequency integrated circuit design, integration of complex systems and modules, high-density interconnects, advanced packaging solutions, microwave transduction, as well as the experimental characterization and validation of devices, antennas, and complete RF systems.

The Department of Electrical Engineering is seeking applications for the tenure-track position of assistant or associate professor. Outstanding candidates for a full professor position will also be considered. Candidates should have the ability to conduct cutting-edge research at the international level, with excellent communication skills, an interest in industrial collaborations and a passion for engaging and innovative teaching.

The successful candidate’s expertise and research program will focus primarily on the design, modeling, and fabrication of microwave, millimeter-wave, and terahertz circuits and systems, covering frequency ranges from GHz to THz. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, active and passive circuit design, microwave subsystem integration, device modeling and development, as well as advanced technologies for applications in communications, radar, biomedical systems, sensing, and antenna systems.
