We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Awards and Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is at the heart of our "promotion pillar," responsible for elevating our agency's brand, showcasing our award-winning work, and amplifying our thought leadership within the industry. You will be instrumental in setting the strategic direction for how we present ourselves to the world, ensuring our creative and strategic impact are recognized by clients, peers, and the media.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to lead our agency's promotional efforts. You'll work closely with agency leadership, creative teams, strategy and account services to identify our most impactful work, craft compelling narratives, and strategically position our agency for recognition and growth. Core Responsibilities

I. Awards Strategy & Management (Spotlighting Our Work):

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and refine the agency's annual awards strategy in close collaboration with senior leadership, identifying key industry shows, relevant categories, and emerging opportunities.
  • End-to-End Submission Leadership: Lead the entire awards submission process, from initial project identification and selection to final upload and payment.
  • Content Development: Draft compelling written submissions, case studies, and rationales that effectively articulate campaign objectives, the creative approach, and measurable results. Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders, including creative, strategy, and client service teams.
  • Asset Project Management: Project manage the development and collection of all required submission assets.
  • Coordination & Logistics: Organize and coordinate internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all necessary components, adherence to deadlines, and accurate uploads.
  • Budget Management: Manage the awards budget, including entry fees, submission costs, and ticket procurement for major award ceremonies, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Amplify Wins: Coordinate the internal and external amplification of award wins through agency PR, social media, website updates, and internal communications.

II. Agency Marketing & PR Strategy (Elevating Our Brand & Thought Leadership):

  • Strategic Plan Development: Design and execute a comprehensive agency marketing and public relations strategy aligned with our business goals.
  • Thought Leadership & Speaking Engagements: Identify, research, and secure speaking opportunities, panel discussions, and conference attendance for agency leadership.
  • Media Relations & PR Coverage: Develop and nurture relationships with key industry press, media outlets, and influencers to proactively secure positive PR coverage for agency work, thought leadership, news, and client successes.
  • Social Media Strategy & Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy, encompassing content creation, scheduling, and day-to-day channel management. This includes overseeing engaging, brand-aligned content that reflects our culture, work, and insights, as well as monitoring engagement, responding to comments, and identifying trends across our social platforms.
  • Client Work Amplification: Collaborate with teams to identify and develop PR opportunities and ideas that can enhance campaigns, extend their reach, and simultaneously elevate the agency's profile.

III. Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Analytics & Insights: Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of all awards, PR, and social media efforts using relevant metrics. Provide insightful recommendations for continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.

Experience Needed

  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in an advertising or creative agency environment, with a significant focus on agency marketing, project management, resourcing and/or awards management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and submitting agency work for national and international industry awards OR equivalent experience such as project management or account management roles within an advertising agency.

  • Digital Fluency: Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and polish in all communications and submissions.
