Description:
As an Orthopaedic Technician (Ortho Tech), you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment utilized in the care of orthopaedic patients (clients, residents). You will observe, monitor, report and document changes in the patient's physical, mental and emotional state, while providing safe and effective, quality care. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Classification: Orthopaedic Tech Certified Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Emergency Department Primary Location: Westview Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.45 Posting End Date: 02-JAN-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 12-JAN-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 27 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $35.70 Maximum Salary: $47.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Completion of an accredited specialty Orthopaedic Technician program. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
