Role and Facility Information

Kelowna General Hospital is looking for a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join its team. Come be part of the dynamic group that includes retina, cornea, glaucoma, oculopastic, pediatric/strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmology subspecialists. As the newest member of the team you will have a community based practice with access to operating room time in the Eye Care Centre at Kelowna General Hospital. You will have the opportunity to join an existing medical practice or open up your own private practice. As part of the Ophthalmology team you will perform on call services that are shared amongst the group of Ophthalmologists.

You will be part of a rapidly growing Department of Surgery helping to serve the fastest growing community in the Interior. There are opportunities for involvement in teaching in the UBC Department of Ophthalmology in addition to other creative professional activities. Other Benefits/Incentives For a full-time position, we offer up to $9,000 in assistance if moving within BC, up to $12,000 within Canada, and up to $15,000 from outside Canada. Please note incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
