Job Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that quality, productivity, and safety remain top priorities in daily site operations. This role oversees field activities, manages project execution, and ensures work is completed on time, within budget, and to company standards. The Superintendent also plays a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, managing costs to ensure profitability, and supporting the overall success of each project.

This role oversees field activities, manages project execution, and ensures work is completed on time, within budget, and to company standards. The Superintendent also plays a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, managing costs to ensure profitability, and supporting the overall success of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Collaborate with the Project Builder to manage client expectations and project schedules.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee safety training and maintain certifications for all site personnel.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding tolerance and quality requirements for interfacing work.
- Verify compliance and quality before accepting completed work.
- Conduct customer service calls with major clients as needed.
- Lead and direct foremen and on-site crews.
- Resolve problems and ensure tradespeople have the materials and information required to perform efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and enforce quality control measures.
- Hire, train, and orient new employees.
- Establish and maintain a workforce in line with contract requirements.
- Support foremen in engaging with employees and clients.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Complete all company-mandated employee support and development processes.
- Promote and uphold a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture.
- Model safe work practices and ensure all safety standards are followed.
- Embody and promote the organization's core values in all operations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman.
- At least 3 years of proven people management experience.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects.
- Extensive experience with drywall and steel stud framing is a must.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, interior design plans, and base building drawings.
- Experience or knowledge in project coordination is an asset.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Technical Diploma, Trade Certification, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
