ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our Quality Assurance department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, internal and external audits, customer complaints and corrective action process, and laboratory testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Lead implementation and continuous improvement of QMS.
  • Customer Concerns & Corrective Actions: Lead the investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for customer complaints.
  • Test Lab Oversight: Manage daily operations of the test laboratory including equipment calibration, test procedures, documentation, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • External Audits & Customer Visits: Act as the main point of contact for ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 external audits (e.g., certification bodies, regulatory agencies) and customer audits/visits. Prepare documentation, lead site tours, and represent the QA function professionally.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning:Lead APAP Activities including PPAP Process, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA's, MSA Studies, Capability Studies
  • Internal Audits: Plan, schedule, and execute the Internal Audit Process. Maintain audit records and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Layered Process Audits (LPA): Oversee implementation and monitoring of LPA system. Analyze findings and drive improvements in process consistency and compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team. Promote a quality culture across all departments.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 implementation and audits.
  • Proven experience LPA Audits, Process & Product Audit processes
  • Strong knowledge of corrective action tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Experience managing daily operations of the test laboratory including equipment calibration, test procedures, documentation, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Proficient in APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC and FMEA tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified Lead Auditor (preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
