Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of customs clearance agents, including training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Oversee the preparation, submission, and verification of all necessary import and export documentation and manifests (e.g., commercial invoices, customs paperwork) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs procedures, and tariff systems, staying updated on changes and advising on compliance matters.
- Act as the point of contact for complex customs issues, working with customs officials, clients, and freight forwarders to resolve discrepancies and avoid delays.
- Track and monitor the clearance performance of shipments, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Liaise with customs authorities, service providers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations and provide necessary information.
- Experience in managing teams and overseeing customs clearance operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import/export processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using customs clearance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- A Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation is required.
- Experience with customs clearance software, Cargowise (Wisetech) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, and data analysis)

- The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
