Civil Forman at Black & McDonald Limited

Black & McDonald’s Moncton office is looking for a full-time hands-on leader with a passion for civil work that can work on a wide variety of projects from excavation to concrete forming projects. You would be working with a team of experienced workers in a safe working environment in Moncton and the various locations throughout New Brunswick. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading and mentoring a hardworking crew, ensuring every project runs smoothly
• Civil work including grading, excavation, conduit installation, compaction
• Building and setting up concrete forms to precise specifications
• Pouring and finishing concrete – forming and finishing skills are a must
• Operating equipment such as small excavators, tampers, cut-off saws, and skid steers
• Collaborating with Project Managers and other teams to get the job done right
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans to execute top-notch work
  
  

Work Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on concrete experience
• A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract
• 2+ years operating equipment
• A team player with great organizational and time management skills
• Someone who can handle the physical demands – lifting 50+ lbs, standing, walking, and bending for long hours
• Adapt easily to a variety of tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather
• Must be able to get a variety of security clearances

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45hrs per week (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities)
