The Senior Credit Analyst – Inventory Finance is a commercial credit analysis role (dealer inventory financing) that contributes to evaluating transactions of all sizes. This position plays a key role in reviewing and processing transactions within the limits of their credit authority and presenting transactions that exceed this authority to management. The candidate must have extensive experience in commercial lending across various asset classes and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

About
The Senior Credit Analyst – Inventory Finance is a commercial credit analysis role (dealer inventory financing) that contributes to evaluating transactions of all sizes. This position plays a key role in reviewing and processing transactions within the limits of their credit authority and presenting transactions that exceed this authority to management. The candidate must have extensive experience in commercial lending across various asset classes and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prepare detailed and thorough credit files presenting the credit request with appropriate risks and mitigants, then approve transactions within their authority.
- Present transactions that exceed their credit authority to management.
- Review and analyze financial statements/tax returns to provide in-depth analysis of performance and trends.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with Sales teams, dealers, and internal clients.
- Obtain and analyze public and private company information (Dun & Bradstreet reports, Paynet, etc.).
- Knowledge of security perfection processes and ability to negotiate intercreditor agreements.
- Conduct research on industries, markets, and equipment as needed.
- Work independently to complete new credit requests, increases, or annual reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis within a bank or other financial institution.
- Experience underwriting dealer financing across various industries, including construction, agriculture, recreational vehicles, etc.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Data collection and analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English to serve clients in Canada and the United States.
- University degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, or management.
