JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of clients in Financial Services (banks, wealth/asset management, fintech), Insurance, and Advertising/Marketing Agencies. As these organizations accelerate digital transformation, customer communications are evolving—blending high-integrity print and mail with data-driven personalization, workflow automation, CRM integrations, reporting, and omnichannel delivery. This is a 70% account management / 30% business development role focused on expanding existing relationships, uncovering cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and winning net-new business within the assigned verticals. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor—helping clients optimize statement and notice communications, direct mail marketing performance, and operational efficiency—while ensuring quality, security, and reliability at scale. Working closely with internal teams across Customer Experience, Estimating, Production, Data, and IT, the Account Executive will translate client goals into practical solutions that improve customer engagement, reduce friction, and drive measurable outcomes. Industry experience in transactional mail, direct mail, and agency workflows is highly valued. Experience in large format/wide format print is an asset. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Education: · Post-secondary education in business, marketing or a related field is required Experience · 3-5 years experience minimum in sales or account management with a relevant industry (financial services, insurance, fintech, direct mail, advertising agency, digital advertising or marketing automation)· Experience working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce an asset Skills · Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.· Knowledge of transactional mail, direct marketing, CRM integrations, and automation technologies.· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.· Understanding of data security and compliance regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR) related to financial and insurance communications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and to report all unsafe and unhealthy work conditions2. To produce quality work effectively and efficiently.3. Adhere to the AIIM Security Policy and report any and all violations to the Security Policy.4. Account Management (70%)· Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in financial services, insurance, fintech, and related sectors.· Regularly meet with clients across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for discovery meetings, presentations, business reviews, and other client interactions. Maintain a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle to facilitate travel.· Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring seamless execution of transactional mail, direct marketing, and omnichannel solutions.· Provide strategic guidance on CRM integrations, automation, AI-driven communication, and data security compliance.· Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue and achieve quotas.· Monitor client satisfaction, proactively addressing any concerns.· Stay informed on industry trends, compliance regulations, and emerging technologies affecting client communications.· Demonstrate comfort and confidence in meeting with C-level executives, marketing teams and procurement professionals.5. Business Development (30%)· Identify and target new business opportunities in the financial and insurance verticals.· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, including outreach and prospect engagement.· Present AIIM’s secure transactional mail, direct marketing, and data-driven solutions to potential clients.· Track all sales activities in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) to ensure accurate pipeline visibility.· Negotiate and close new business deals aligned with AIIM’s revenue growth targets.6. Strategic Collaboration· Work closely with management teams to develop targeted campaigns and lead-generation efforts.· Collaborate with Customer Experience and IT teams to integrate AIIM’s services into client workflows.· Provide insights to AIIM’s leadership on client needs, industry trends, and market opportunities.7. Performance & Reporting· Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets for account growth and new business.· Regularly update forecasts, sales reports, and client insights for leadership review.· Ensure all sales activities are properly recorded in CRM, maintaining data accuracy and transparency.8. Compliance & Industry Expertise· Stay up to date with data security and compliance regulations affecting financial and insurance communications.· Attend industry conferences, networking events, and professional development programs.· Act as a trusted advisor, providing recommendations based on market insights and best practices.
