CBI Home Health is looking to hire passionate and caring RPNs to work in rural areas of Dufferin County and Northern Peel region.

Vacancy Disclosure: This job posting is for an existing vacancy. It is a temporary 2-3 month Part Time position with the possibility of an extension. Scheduling includes morning (7 am - 3pm), afternoon (3 pm - 11 pm) and overnight (11 pm to 7 am) shifts as well as visits dependent on the client care plan.

Work Location - Rural travel areas of Dufferin County and Northern Peel region, not limited to Orangeville, Mono, Shelburne, Caledon, Bolton, Brampton, Malton, Cheltenham.

Number of Positions: 4

The salary range for this position is between $26.96 to $34.82 per hour

What You Will Do

Every day will be different! As a Community Nurse (RN/ RPN), you will make a difference in the lives of people within their homes and other community locations. You will be able to apply your clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, palliative care, pediatric care, tube feeding and medication administration, as well as health teaching. Your person and family-centered approach to care will guide your decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team. Your managers and peers are easily accessible to you to provide mentorship and support for ongoing development and clinical excellence. Your critical role of home health care supports the larger health system, and you will demonstrate confidence in navigating clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
  • Professional Liability Insurance (WeRPN/RNAO)
  • A clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening results in the past 12 months
  • Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record
  • Ability to travel independently from home to home within the community. A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • Palliative training is considered an asset
  • Pediatric experience is considered an asset
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, bilingual in French an asset
