Onsite work location

This role will be on-site, based out of the Distribution Center, 19295 25 Avenue, Surrey, BC. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, 40 hours per week. This role will require travelling as part of our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementations and training provided to branches throughout Western Canada. Travelling for training and WMS role-out support will be required, typically in a 2-week rotation on site. The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours to accommodate training needs, as this may include occasional evenings or weekends.

As a Distribution Center (DC) Trainer, you play a key role in developing a safe, skilled, and efficient team. By training and mentoring new hires on DC procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use, you help build a strong operational foundation. Your work supports smooth onboarding, consistent processes, and effective transitions to our Warehouse Management System. Reporting to the DC Supervisors, you help drive performance, support team development, and ensure we maintain high standards across our operations.

  • You will be challenged physically. There will be lots of hands-on work and being able to keep endurance in a high-paced environment, lifting up to 50lbs.

Ideal candidate profile

  • High school completion
  • Previous experience as a lead hand and trainer in a warehouse environment is required
  • Possesses the ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/move for 6+ hours per day
  • Forklift certification (Train the Trainer experience would be an asset)
  • First Aid certificate and experience would be an asset
  • WHMIS certified
  • Approachable demeanour and a positive "customer first" attitude and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with technology, and the ability to learn new software programs
  • Basic mathematical skills with the ability to calculate simple equations mentally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for excellence and continuous learning
  • Ability to take initiative to continuously improve skills and knowledge
