Job Synopsis

Working in support of the Ontario Programs team, the full time Ontario Programs Development Associate will play a key role in program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (PMER) as well as being the event coordinator (planning and logistics) for Program events and workshops. This role includes strengthening ongoing PMER tasks by providing training, support, mentoring and capacity building for program staff.

Additional Details:
This role is based at MCC Ontario’s 50 Kent Avenue location in Kitchener. Some travel within Waterloo Region and other parts of Ontario is required on occasion. Our hybrid workplace allows for 2-3 days of work-from-home per week as appropriate for the tasks. This role will may require working outside of regular office hours, according to the needs of each event or workshop.

Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada for the duration of their employment. Successful candidates will be required to provide a Police Background Check upon hire.

Required
  • Demonstrated organization and project management skills, with experience in data administration and event planning; able to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and resources efficiently for accurate data and seamless event logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities, ensuring all aspects of events and workshops are meticulously planned and unexpected issues are handled effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize diverse tasks, and negotiate effectively with vendors.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging participants, vendors, and team members.
  • Proficiency with program data software (Apricot preferred).
  • Experience in human services or peacebuilding programs, either professionally or as a volunteer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of related experience or Business Diploma plus 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Valid G license and ability to drive within Ontario in a personal or rental vehicle
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities Apricot Data and Program Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER)
  • Oversee the administration and optimization of Apricot data base for Ontario Programs, including designing forms, managing records and ensuring data integrity.
  • Train and support staff in effective data use, facilitate reflective practice, and collaborate across teams to develop tools and processes for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (PMER).
  • Analyze program data to identify trends, support learning, and inform project development, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of PMER best practices.
  • Enter project plans and reports into the MCC PMER database (INSIGHT). Create and consolidate reports to track activities, outcomes, and KPIs for programs and budgets.
  • Research, write, and submit grant applications aligned with funding needs.
  • Work closely with program coordinators, communications, and volunteer services to ensure procedures, forms, and reports are accurate and support church engagement.
  • Lead and support learning gatherings and assist with project evaluations as needed.

Events Logistics and Coordination
  • Collaborate with program coordinators and team members to understand event goals, budgets, and logistics.
  • Oversee all aspects of event and workshop planning, including promotion, signage, registration, guest coordination, and food arrangements, ensuring each event is well-organized and aligns with program objectives as well as being compliant with insurance, legal, health, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate IT/AV support for virtual and in-person Program events
  • Gather feedback through surveys, maintain accurate records and budgets, and prepare post-event reports in Apricot to support ongoing improvement and accountability.
Other
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
  • Participate in MCCO orientations, provincial meetings, Peace Conference and Staff Development Days.
  • Participate in a local faith community, being willing to use your personal gifts within this community.

Salary Details

Base salary: $56,821. This role starts on day 1 with a company paid benefit package
