Junior/Intermediate Piping Designer at Wood

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for an Junior / Intermediate Piping Designer to join our Sarnia Ontario office within the Canada Projects business unit. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with strong Drafting skills and knowledge in Piping Design within an EPC environment.

Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop 3D model using various modeling software.
• Drafting 2D drawings with minimal supervision
• Create GA’s and Plot Plans.
• Modeling large equipment
• Reviewing and comment on vendor information
• Adhere to industry codes and standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Engineering design and drafting technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate.
• 2+ years of experience in piping design and layout experience
• Excellent knowledge of Design Software
• Previously project experience in Upstream Oil Sands is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
