Under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care Operations, the Regional Manager assumes the responsibility and accountability of ensuring that the homes under his/her supervision fulfill the corporate mandate for providing quality care and meet the overall philosophy and mission of Jarlette Health Services.
The following traits and qualifications are required:
- Must possess a post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three years in duration, or a post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program minimum of two years in duration or be grandfathered as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 76 (1) and Ontario Regulation ss. 249/22 (3,4)
- Must have successfully completed or is enrolled in a program in long-term care home administration or management that is a minimum of 100 hours in duration of instruction,
- A minimum of three years working experience in a managerial or supervisory experience in health or social services or
- A minimum of at least three years working experience in another managerial or supervisory capacity, if they have already successfully completed the course mentioned above
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Prior experience in human resources and labour relations management preferred
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
- Must be computer literate
- Must possess valid Driver’s License and be willing to travel
