Are you looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Specialized Mental Health & Substance Use department.

In accordance with established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health and reporting to the Program Lead – Specialized Services or designate, the Life Skills Worker (LSW) - Specialized Substance Use Stabilization/MHSU Outreach provides outreach community-based support services, assisting in mental health and substance use treatment. The LSW provides life skills training, coaching, advocacy, and support to individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, behavioral, and developmental problems and to their caregivers/families, in accordance with an established plan of treatment/care. Motivates, assists, and guides individuals with the activities of daily living, reports progress and condition, including reactions to medications.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 11:00 to 19:30 (rotating)

The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation, and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700.
