We are undertaking an internal data transformation which will allow us to better understand, track and utilize the data that we generate. This will enable us to make more strategic and more informed business decisions.
The PMO Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects within the organization which fall under the strategic roadmap for this transformation. These projects will encompass multiple business units (office & site based) as well as multiple regions across Canada. This role ensures that projects align with business objectives, adhere to established standards, align to scope and are completed on time and within budget. The PMO Project Manager also plays a key role in mentoring project teams and improving project management processes.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage various internal data transformation initiatives focused on modernizing data infrastructure and systems through their full lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify digital opportunities and implement technology solutions.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and budgeting for digital transformation efforts.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Support change management and training efforts to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor project performance and adjust plans to meet evolving business needs.
- Maintain documentation and reporting (Agendas, Minutes etc) for all transformation-related initiatives.
- Develop, create and critique project charters in line with Strategic Roadmap.
- Ensure projects align with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status reviews, and post-mortems.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation for auditing and reporting.
- Support and enforce PMO policies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers and team members.
- Collaborate with department leaders to define and prioritize project initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and produce budget reports for executive review.
- Continuously evaluate project outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with methodologies such as LEAN practices, Six Sigma principles, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, other).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
