Occupational Therapist | Mental Health at Interior Health Authority

We are hiring for a relief part-time 0.61fte Occupational Therapist for the Braemore Lodge tertiary mental health facility in Penticton. This position is expected to run until August 2027, or the return of the current incumbent.

Days of Work: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Shift times/Hours of work: 08:00-16:00

About The Position

The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.
• Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.
• Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living.
• Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
• Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
