The salary/hourly range for this position is $69,000 - $97,000 per annum/year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Your Role
- Planning, conducting, and supervising geotechnical investigations.
- Evaluating geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and earth structures.
- Conducting foundation investigations for commercial, industrial, and high-rise developments.
- Conducting slope stability and embankment assessments and completing designs.
- Conducting geohazard assessments and preparing mitigation designs.
- Conducting emergency response assessments for rock fall, landslides and debris flows.
- Conducting geologic structure mapping, kinematic stability analyses and design for rock slopes.
- Conducting dam safety reviews.
- Conducting construction field reviews.
- Analyzing field data and preparing detailed engineering reports and recommendations.
- Conducting pavement evaluations and completing designs.
- Preparing proposals, budgeting and scheduling of technical field staff.
- Mentoring and coaching junior staff members.
- Communicating with clients, sub-consultants and stakeholders.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
- Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have obtained a Graduate Degree in the area of Geotechnical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 year of experience in a geotechnical engineering capacity.
- Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset.
- Experience writing internal and external facing reports and proposals.
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.

- Willingness to travel for work is essential to the position.
- Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio 2007 Products and MS Office is essential.
- Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being a team player.
- Must be or eligible to register as a professional engineer in British Columbia, be legally entitled to work in Canada, and possess a valid British Columbia Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent).
