Overview
As a Training Facilitator at Homestead, you will help us to train and support building site staff. This position focuses on delivering hands-on training, coordinating orientations, and ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and safety awareness required to perform their roles effectively. You will work closely with new and existing staff, as well as internal teams, to promote consistent training standards, safe work practices, and ongoing employee development across our communities.

Overview
As a Training Facilitator at Homestead, you will help us to train and support building site staff. This position focuses on delivering hands-on training, coordinating orientations, and ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and safety awareness required to perform their roles effectively. You will work closely with new and existing staff, as well as internal teams, to promote consistent training standards, safe work practices, and ongoing employee development across our communities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the first day meet-and-greet and orientation of new building site staff (Superintendents, Building Managers, Cleaners etc.) including WHMIS and safe lifting techniques training.
- Providing new staff with their orientation package, checklists, SOP manual and Health and Safety Training.
- Working with the new staff on a pre-scheduled basis.
- Train staff in minor plumbing and electrical work, general maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Participating in the branch Joint Health and Safety Committee and perform annual building inspections.
- Conducting/facilitating in house seminars and workshops with existing staff.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience working as on-site apartment building staff a strong asset.
- Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be creative and have the ability to work under pressure.
- Must be passionate and enthusiastic regarding the development of others.
- Knowledge in the day to day functions of an apartment building including boilers, elevators, compactor rooms and swimming pools preferred.
- A minimum of two years training experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in training methods and principles.
