About The Role

Myticas Consulting is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a leading software and mobile solutions company in Ottawa. In this role, you will report to Technology and Business Management leadership and drive customer-centric business and data analysis to solve complex, real-world problems.

You will work closely with application development teams, product and marketing stakeholders to turn large datasets into clear, actionable insights. This is an opportunity to influence key technology and business decisions, work with modern analytics tools, and help shape digital products used by thousands of customers. The position requires quarterly travel to Las Vegas for business meetings and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business, technology, and product stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into clear business and data analysis requirements
• Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that support application development initiatives
• Lead or support analysis of marketing programs and campaigns, measuring performance and recommending data-driven optimization strategies
• Prepare and present concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Document requirements, user stories, workflows, and analysis findings to support delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are translated into practical solutions and track business impact over time
  
  

Requirements

• Based in or willing to relocate to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (on-site role with quarterly travel to Las Vegas, USA)
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software, mobile, or application development environments
• Proven experience using business and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, advanced Excel, BI/analytics platforms) to derive insights from large datasets
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder-facing roles with exceptional verbal and written communication skills (requirements documentation, workshops, presentations)
• Legally eligible to work in Canada without current or future employer sponsorship and able to travel to the United States for business purposes
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing marketing programs or campaigns and presenting findings to business stakeholders
• Background in customer-centric research or customer analytics for software or mobile products
• Experience collaborating directly with senior technology and business leadership in a Senior Business Analyst capacity
• Professional Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent)
