Job Description
We are currently seeking a Junior Master Scheduler to join our Operations team in Ottawa. In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and control of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to enable efficient production flow and on-time delivery of customer commitments. You will work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to help align customer demand with production capacity in a structured manufacturing environment.
This role offers an opportunity to build foundational experience in production planning, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination within a collaborative operations team.

Job Description
We are currently seeking a Junior Master Scheduler to join our Operations team in Ottawa. In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and control of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to enable efficient production flow and on-time delivery of customer commitments. You will work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to help align customer demand with production capacity in a structured manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will…
- Support the development and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule in alignment with production plans and customer requirements.
- Input and maintain orders within the enterprise planning system, ensuring accuracy and schedule integrity.
- Assist in developing Business Area forecasts and performing rough-cut capacity planning under guidance.
- Build an understanding of critical manufacturing resources and support capacity monitoring throughout the planning cycle.
- Coordinate manufacturing delivery commitments with Program Management and Contracts teams.
- Support analysis of customer demand to ensure manufacturing deliverables are complete and delivery dates are achievable.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling changes to order policies, lead times, and scheduling assumptions.
- Identify potential schedule risks or delinquencies and escalate concerns to senior schedulers or management.
- Support quotation requests by preparing inputs to Company Program Plans (CPPs) and coordinating information from relevant departments using standard templates.
- Participate in Configuration Control Board activities as required to support accurate classification of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Support Manufacturing Operations and Planning teams during project start-up activities and track progress of supporting elements such as test equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes.
- Monitor schedule performance through system inquiries and close collaboration with Material Planners and Production Controllers.
- Assist in coordinating recovery plans and support cross-functional meetings, including documenting action items and follow-ups.
- Prepare and distribute project status summaries and support project and production review meetings as required.
- Work with Finished Goods shipping teams to support timely and accurate shipment of completed products.
- Support the preparation and presentation of key scheduling and performance metrics within the Manufacturing organization.
- Act as backup support for other Master Schedulers as required.
Required
- Diploma or degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to production planning, scheduling, or supply chain concepts through education, co-op, internship, or early career experience.
- Familiarity with MRP/MRPII concepts or enterprise planning systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and scheduling practices.
- CPIM and/or CIRM certification (or interest in pursuing).
- Experience in a manufacturing, operations, or production environment.
- Familiarity with configuration management or engineering change processes.
