Reporting to the Residential Manager, the Aged Care Chaplain provides meaningful pastoral care services, encouraging residents towards their spiritual, emotional, psychological and social wellbeing according to their age and health status. Carinity's Chaplains participate in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team that aims to meet the needs of residents in an effective and holistic manner.
This role requires availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (38 hours per fortnight).

Your Day-to-day Will Involve
- Providing pastoral care and counselling – building trusting relationships with residents and responding to their spiritual, emotional, and social needs with empathy and compassion.
- Supporting staff, residents, and families by offering spiritual leadership, encouragement, and guidance across the care community.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic support for residents, while maintaining confidentiality and respect.
- Prepare and deliver devotions, worship services, and meaningful activities that enrich residents’ lives and foster a sense of belonging.
- Contribute to a warm, homelike environment where every resident feels valued and part of the community.
- Bachelor of Ministry or other pastoral care/counselling qualifications and/or experience relevant to the role
- Demonstrated empathy and experience in Pastoral Care and/or Pastoral Counselling
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, offering support/assistance where required
- Highly effective interpersonal skills for pastoral care and communication in multi-faith and multi-disciplinary settings
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
