Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Project Manager with at least five (5) years of experience to plan, execute and oversee cybersecurity initiatives, including both complex projects and daily operations. Acting as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership, the Cybersecurity Project Manager ensures projects are delivered effectively and are aligned with the organization’s security objectives. This role responds directly to the Director of Cybersecurity.
Key Accountabilities
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Project Manager with at least five (5) years of experience to plan, execute and oversee cybersecurity initiatives, including both complex projects and daily operations. Acting as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership, the Cybersecurity Project Manager ensures projects are delivered effectively and are aligned with the organization’s security objectives. This role responds directly to the Director of Cybersecurity.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage cybersecurity projects (e.g., security solution deployments, audits, regulatory compliance;
- Coordinate cybersecurity operations, including security operations scrum meetings, operational control scheduling and execution and internal risk and vulnerability assessments;
- Oversee project resources, budgets, and timelines;
- Collaborate with IT teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure tactical and operational alignment;
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate project risks;
- Produce progress reports and performance indicators for leadership;
- Ensure compliance of cybersecurity projects with internal change management processes; and
- Improve project management structure and processes on an ongoing basis for the cybersecurity team.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Project Management;
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of proven experience managing technology projects, ideally in cybersecurity;
- Knowledge of recognized security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls);
- Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills;
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Proficiency with project management tools; and
- Experience in the retail or manufacturing sector is an asset.
