Are you ready to make an impact in financial project management? We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to join our team in Burnaby, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting engineering and design projects through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Manage project accounting activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Prepare and review monthly project financial reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and client contract requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and resolve discrepancies.
• Process invoices, track billings, and manage accounts receivable for assigned projects.
• Support internal audits and assist with year-end financial processes.
  
  

What Your Experience Looks Like

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 –5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management, preferably in engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Deltek or similar preferred).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• CPA designation or working toward CPA is an asset.

The salary range for this role is between $7 5 K - $ 8 0K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
