The Centre de l’information (CDI) in Montreal is the beating heart of Radio-Canada News & Current Affairs — the central point of convergence for the news of the day, be it local, national or international.
We are looking for two (2) full-time reporters to join our Sports team.
Reporting to the Sports Managing Editor (digital/radio/TV), you will work as a sports reporter. You must have the integrity and self-confidence to deliver accurate, relevant news content across all of our platforms in line with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Your duties will include hosting sportscasts, conducting interviews, writing copy, editing audio and video, and producing thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content for delivery primarily on our TV, radio and digital platforms.
In this role, evening and weekend hours will be required depending on the assignment.

Qualifications
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ journalism experience or equivalent
- At least one (1) year’s sports reporting experience is an asset
- Broad general knowledge
- Thorough familiarity with the sports scene
- Solid command of French (working language)
- Fluency in English is an asset
- Ability to write effectively for all platforms (digital, mobile, social, radio and TV) and strong interviewing skills
- Understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
- Ability to thrive in a team environment while being a resourceful self-starter
- Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact-gathering
- Strong personal initiative and independence in creating digital content
- Very good knowledge of digital journalism, digital formats and social media management
- High level of proficiency with Dalet and Mediacomposer is an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
