WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This Supply Planner II – Production Planner position is responsible for all activities associated with creating, monitoring and maintaining supply plans for products we manufacture in-house in alignment with corporate strategies. The Supply Planner II - Production Planner will coordinate with our demand planning and procurement teams to optimize and build plans, and inventory. You will also review and respond to unplanned demand opportunities beyond the Demand Plan and provide realistic supply lead times. You will develop and execute our supply plan, determining priorities, and implementing strategies to reduce out-of-stock and over-stock issues and maintain a turn-ratio in line with strategic direction. The Supply Planner II - Production Planner's role will also provide business insight and analytical support to key stakeholders throughout the organization and lead a monthly S&OP review with the leadership team.
WHAT WE OFFER
We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $65,000 to 80,000 annually, dependent on the experience level of the candidate. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Planning Process
Contributor in the Supply Planning monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle.
Collaborate with Demand Planning to understand and agree on seasonal demand for new developments, discontinued merchandise, and carryover products.
Perform global supply consolidation in support of domestic production planning.
Maintain supply schedule/plan, taking into consideration the priority and needs forecasted by our demand planning team.
Help manage our on-going production plans, taking into consideration both FG and RM needs.
Maintain and improve inventory turn-ratios in line with KPIs
Analyze and respond to unplanned demand opportunities to provide realistic delivery leadtimes.
Supply Planning Analysis
Perform analysis on supply gaps and coordinate improvement actions.
Communicate the impact of inventory levels against the shifts in demand vs supply plans for the organization.
Utilize capacity planning, supplier and production feedback, historical info, and analytical tools to monitor and adjust the supply plan.
Support the Supply Chain Management and Senior Management teams through various reporting and analysis activities as needed.
Maximize the use of MRP and ERP tools and systems to ensure diligent record keeping and source-of-truth.
Supply Planning Models and Tools
Own the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of supply and operational planning systems. Take initiative to identify and implement best-in-class processes and tools for production scheduling, inventory tracking and buy plans creation (MRP)
Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory and supply strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Define and maintain appropriate safety stock levels in relevant product lines to ensure the organization is able to respond to opportunities as they appear without risking the health of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience with supply planning or production planning in consumer retail and manufacturing environment. Experience in the apparel industry or consumer retail goods industry is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline required. Specialization in finance, supply chain, or business with APICS certification preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with ability to negotiate solutions amongst competing priorities.
Aptitude for numbers, analytics, and an ability to compile, interpret, and communicate buying plan updates and resulting implications to the business.
Demonstrated proficiency in data modeling and analysis with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
Flexible approach with willingness to make decisions in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information.
High degree of proficiency with MS Excel is required. Experience with planning software, experience with MRP / ERP platforms. Knowledge of MS Access, macros, and database report writing tools is a plus.
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered.
