Growing up in British Columbia, the family Root Cellar was a place in our homes where we could always find good quality, garden-grown, fresh & preserved foods. Our family-owned market operates with a local focus, always buying from as close to home as possible to provide the communities of Victoria with the same.

We are more than your average grocery store, and it is our aim for our team’s experience here to be anything but average too. We’re a family business, and we’re selective about who joins us. Our bottom line is that we care a lot… about the products we offer, our customers, and our Root Cellar family. You can feel the care put into action when you step through our doors, Team Members and Customers alike.

What You Bring To The Table

• The ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings (6:00am), evenings (until 10:00pm), and weekends.
• The ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods of time, work in a cool environment, and lift up to 50lbs.
• The ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• The ability to work well within a team.
• Previous retail/customer service experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude!
