Crosswalk Guard

The Town of Gander is now accepting applications for a Crosswalk Guard for the Gander Academy school located on Fraser Road. This position will be required to monitor the crosswalk during morning and afterschool to ensure the safe crossing of children during busy traffic times.

Qualifications

• Graduate from High School
• Ability to work with children on a daily basis
• Ability to learn and apply traffic regulations pertaining to pedestrian crosswalk
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Must maintain a clean and neat appearance
• Able to perform duties in inclement weather
• Certificate of Conduct
  
  

The hours of work will be approximately 8:15am–8:45am and 2:30pm-3:00pm, Monday to Friday. The position will be paid 15 hours per week at a rate of $18.59/hr.
