The Employee Relations Advisor supports the overall People strategy with talent acquisition, people management, illness leave management and diversity and inclusion.

Purpose:
Reporting to the VP, People and Culture, the Employee Relations Advisor supports the overall People strategy with talent acquisition, people management, and diversity and inclusion.

Requirements:
  • Responsible to coordinate and support talent attraction through a variety of Graybar programs like Taleo Management, Exit Interview Program support, Summer student program/College/University outreach, Take Our Kids to Work program, EE Referral Program and community job fairs.
  • Responsible to carry out the performance and succession program. Along with support for the performance review process, performance management, succession planning, Employee Awards Program support, Informal Rewards program management
  • Support the employee termination process
  • Provide guidance and support to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with managers and employees to support employee engagement and retention
  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations concerns effectively.
  • Research best practices, compliance requirements, and employment trends
  • Provide guidance to payroll and managers on the Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • Conduct Employee Surveys as required
  • Travel throughout the Ontario region is necessary. Driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Administration, or equivalent experience considered an asset.
  • 2+ years Human Resource experience
  • Experience in diversity training an asset
  • Experience in managing illness programs an asset
  • Exceptional English language writing and grammar skills.
  • French language an asset

Salary: $55,000-$60,000
