Job Summary:

Windsor Salt's Ojibway Mine in Windsor, Ontario, has an opening for an engineering co-op student for the summer 2026 term. The successful applicant will provide technical support to the engineering and management teams at Windsor Salt.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining ventilation and ground movement records
  • Performing the monthly development mapping (AutoCAD), showing all relocations in emergency routes, conveyor extensions, or brattice line developments
  • Assisting the engineering team in matters relating to the selection of new equipment, material substitution, and prescheduled alterations or repairs
  • Preparing the appropriations for capital and expense projects, in which they are involved
  • Updating documentation, such as manuals, AutoCad drawings, etc.
  • Performing electrical equipment audits, surveys, and data collection


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Safety-conscious team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment


In addition, this individual will:

  • Be registered in an accredited university engineering co-op program
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD is an asset
  • A G/G2 Driver's License is mandatory for this position


The expected compensation for this role is $22/hour. This posting is for a temporary contract position (May through August 2026). Windsor Salt does not require Canadian work experience and does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen or assess applicants.
