Senior Financial Analyst at GFL Environmental Inc.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare General Ledger journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by others.
• Coordinate posting of journal entries to the General Ledger.
• Prepare, analyze, audit and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Assist Districts Managers, helping them to analyse the financial statements, forecasting and budgeting process.
• Assist in creating the Key performance indicators for the business, analysis them and communicate with management.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Competencies

• Four year degree in accounting
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and current accounting practices.
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong project management skills.

• Able to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk and hear.
• Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Work in indoor office environment 95% of the time.
• Noise level is usually moderate.
