Position DetailsWhat you will do:
- Review and approve incoming photo-image assignments to ensure quality and technical competence are always displayed
- Review claims details to ensure correct information is recorded and meet all appraisal standards
- Negotiate costs with repair facilities and record all details of appraisal activity
- Keep detail notes and records of all appraisals
- Provide advice to PD adjusters when exceptions are always made
- Coordinate the appraisal resources to ensure assignments are dispatched
- In case of total loss, provide review of appraisal to respective parties
- Provide evaluation for stolen or unrecovered vehicles
- Participate in the industry events, training of other staff in auto PD, and various projects
What you have:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in insurance appraisal or body shop estimating or 2 yrs in Auto PD claims with an insurance carrier
- Ability to appraise auto body claims
- Post-secondary education
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent organizational skills
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience reading Mitchell estimates and total loss reports
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work remotely, independently, and unsupervised
