Position Description

As a Journeyman Millwright you will install, align, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment.

You will be covering both DC1 and DC2 for Afternoon shift, (1:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday - Thursday Shift)

• Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
• Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
• Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand/power tools and welding equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
• Complete Work Orders according to PM schedules
• Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required
  
  

Required Education & Qualifications

• Ticketed in the Millwright Trade
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (An Asset)
• Electrical Experience (Asset)
• Prima equipment experience (Asset)
• Design Experience (Asset)
• Proven track record working with Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)
• Above average problem-solving skills
