Works Within The GR Baker Memorial Hospital And Quesnel Health Services To Plan, Implement, Deliver And Evaluate Services In Relation To

• Intravenous Therapy (IVT) assessment, education and treatment of patients of all ages who require outpatient IV Therapy
• Pulmonary Emboli Therapy
• Pre-delivery teaching for selected patients
• Stress Testing for selected patients
• Cancer Care Services including Chemotherapy
  
  

The Ambulatory Care Nurse provides, coordinates, and implements nursing care including patient assessment, patient & family teaching, delivery of care, provision of health promotion information and navigation support to cancer patients, in accordance with established practices. As a member of the Ambulatory Care team, works closely with interdisciplinary team members including Medicine, Pharmacy, Social Work, Dietitian and Community Services staff. The responsibilities are carried out in accordance with standards, protocols, and agency expectations and the goals for professional nursing practice.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tuesday – Friday, Days, 09:00 to 16:45

GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a full care hospital with 27 Acute Care beds, 4 ICU beds and 5 crisis stabilization beds.
