Case Aide – Intake at Cochrane District Services Board
Job Reports to: Lead Manager, Ontario Works and Client Care
Salary: $23.80 – $28.19
SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Lead Manager, Ontario Works and Client Care, in accordance with CDSB policies and procedures and CDSB Vision & Values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
- Complete intake application by phone, in person, or online through IBAU (OWIU)
- Responds to inquiries from clients and the public
- Receives information from clients both on the telephone and in person
- Responsible for scheduling new appointments for, and assigning cases to Case Managers
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Process Northern Health Travel Grants
- Complete intake for funerals and internal appeals
- Provides clerical support as required
- Back-up for other Case Aides/Reception as needed
- Compiles statistics and reports as necessary
- Prepares T5’s as requested
- Other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability in in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Working knowledge of the full range of programs delivered by the CDSB including; Ontario Works, Child Care, Housing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Two-year diploma in office administration or business administration with related experience OR a combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer
- Relevant experience in social services
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Satisfactory criminal records check
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Bilingualism in accordance with the French Language Services policy
