Role Summary:
 
The Lot Manager is responsible for the organization, appearance, and overall management of the dealership’s vehicle inventory on the lot. This role ensures that new and pre-owned vehicles are displayed to maximize customer appeal, supports sales operations with vehicle readiness, and supervises Lot Attendants/Porters to maintain efficiency and presentation standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee daily operations of the dealership lot, ensuring vehicles are properly parked, organized, and displayed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly lot environment.

  • Supervise Lot Attendants/Porters, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and photo-ready for online listings and customer presentations.

  • Coordinate vehicle movement for test drives, deliveries, and service appointments.

  • Manage key control and ensure proper vehicle security measures are followed.

  • Conduct regular lot audits to confirm accurate inventory and proper vehicle placement.

  • Assist with vehicle check-in and inspection upon arrival from manufacturers or trade-ins.

  • Support Sales Managers with vehicle preparation for promotions, events, and sales displays.

  • Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Detailing teams to ensure timely vehicle readiness.


Qualifications & Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous dealership or automotive lot experience preferred.

  • Supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining professional vehicle presentation.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
