The Bilingual Technical Training & Field Service Specialist develops and delivers technical training in Canada and troubleshoots devices when not training. In addition to training-related activities, the Technical Trainer provides technical expertise and support to colleagues (as required). This work may include on-call support, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and installs in clinics, hospitals, donor centers, or other equipment locationsYour Role at Baxter
What you''ll Do
Deliver technical training to internal Baxter employees and customers in both English and French
Craft and develop materials that support both facilitators and participants in instructor-led and blended training programs, considering adult learning principles
Assess training and training program content adequacy and needs, implementing continuous improvements to training programs, curricula, offerings, forms, and other training-related material
Ensure training materials are current and aligned with applicable regulations and company-specific practices
Coordinate course evaluation surveys to acquire participant feedback and suggestions to assist in making continuous improvements to course content and training material
Diagnose and troubleshoot all inbound equipment to component level
Maintain and ensure certification of all test equipment as per Baxter's operating policies and procedures
Verify all repairs meet manufacturer's specifications; document troubleshooting steps following Baxter guidelines
Prepare and manage the training calendar
Manage training documentation for all training courses coordinated and/or attended by staff and review training records for completeness, currency, frequency, and compliance
Efficiently manage expenses and submit for approval on a monthly basis
Inventory management of training materials, tools, and training devices
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience OR Adult education certification or training
5+ years of Electronics/Biomedical training experience in a field service environment
5+ years of presenting material to a class
Demonstrated ability to self-manage
Excellent communication (written and oral English and French) and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, good problem-solving, and analytical skills
Customer orientation, teamwork skills, and the ability to actively commit to, support, and participate in continuous improvement activities
Travel as needed to support goals, as well as the ability to work flexible hours to meet training needs
Act as a subject matter expert for training department staff on all aspects of course design and delivery
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has an annual salary range of $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 CAD Annual. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
