As a Senior Data Technology and Reporting Analyst, reporting to the Manager, HRIS and People Data, you'll collaborate closely with the Data Technology and Reporting Analyst, HRIS Specialist, Information Systems (IS) team, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment of data, process, and technology initiatives with organizational goals. By leveraging analytics, automation, and process frameworks, this position helps to drive the optimization of P&C operations and workforce strategies.

What You'll Be Doing

Data Management and Analytics

  • Lead the development and optimization of P&C data models, dashboards, and metrics for workforce insights.
  • Lead the analysis of P&C data to identify trends in engagement, turnover, recruitment, and performance.
  • Take ownership of and implement data governance best practices and ensure data quality and compliance.

Business Process Management (BPM) Support

  • Map and optimize P&C processes using BPM methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation in P&C workflows.

Technology Integration

  • Partner with the HRIS Specialist to address data-related technology issues and ensure alignment between analytics and HR technology platforms.
  • Oversee data integration across P&C systems, ensuring smooth workflows and enhanced usability of analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to support system enhancements and issue resolution.

Data Governance and Compliance

  • Strengthen data governance practices by leading the development of, aligning with, and implementing policies that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and continuously improve data quality.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Present data findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning in data management and process improvement.

What You Bring

Experience and Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Data Analytics, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and integration, with demonstrated knowledge in Business Analysis, with a focus on building models and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Proven expertise in maintaining HR technology platforms (e.g., UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives using BPM frameworks and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices.
  • Experience creating predictive models or leveraging machine learning to identify workforce trends is considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL.
  • Knowledge of APIs and tools for integrating data across platforms, system integration, and process mapping techniques (e.g., BPMN).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and business needs into meaningful insights and actionable requirements.

Licenses And Certifications

  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is considered an asset.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP) or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or BPM methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align data, process, and technology practices with business objectives.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing datasets and process workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with HR and workforce metrics/terminology (ex. employee engagement, turnover, and performance).
