Job overview

We are seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join Burkett & Co.’s talented team. The successful candidate will reflect our firm’s core values while providing high quality support to all members of our team as well as our clients. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Office Manager.


Responsibilities

· Reception duties

· Provide exceptional customer service to our existing and new clients both on the phone and by email/mail correspondence

· Schedule appointments and meetings, ensuring timely communication with clients

· Assist with assembling and delivering client reports, statements, and other key documents

· Support staff with administrative requests, materials prep, and internal communications correspondence

· Coordinate office maintenance and liaise with service providers as required

· Track and organize physical and digital filing systems; assist with off-site storage and shredding arrangements

· Organize travel and accommodation arrangements for executives and staff

· Prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on assigned action items

· Assist with special projects and events including recruiting, networking, and training

· Support internal presentations, proposals, and formatting of reports


Job requirements

· High school diploma (post-secondary education in administration is a strong asset)

· 2+ years of experience in administrative or office support roles

· Experience in a professional services environment (accounting, legal, financial) is preferred

· Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities

· Dependable, resourceful, and detail-oriented           


Job Type & Location

· Full-time (Monday to Friday), on-site.

· Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
